Bird Coiba National Park / World Heritage Site:

small groups, quality service, personal attention... safety first!!
Birding Tours/ general information
Coiba’s unique island habitat offers a varied and attractive avifauna to the birdwatcher, amateur and professional alike.  Birding on Coiba National Park also takes some effort.  Flexibility is a must.  Access to many trails, beaches, mangroves and mud flats are tide sensitive.  Tide (and weather overall) will play a major role in the days itinerary.

Your personal guide (Javier) will take you to the best birding trails the island has to offer...on the dates of your particular trip. He uses the tides, knows their local effects and will keep you birding as much as possible.  A wide variety of Coiba's Avifauna is observed from the water by slowly navigating some of the islands largest rivers and estuaries.  Lots of drinking water and healthy snacks will be provided along the way.

Sepia Flycatcher?  Brown-backed Dove?  King Vulture? Or is it the Red-rumped Woodpecker?  Let Javier know ahead of time what you want to observe.  He'll put you on a game plan that will give you the opportunity you are looking for.

First-aid kit, extra drinking water, VHF hand held radio, copy of 'The Birds of Panama : A Field Guide', extra pair of binoculars, snacks and a few other goodies are always with you...in Javier's trail pack!

He will also share his spirit of adventure and offer new options/birding areas for exploration depending on the group dynamics.  Always a student of his environment Javier enjoys lending an ear to the novice and professional birder alike.
